Editing and proofreading are different:

  • Proofreading involves a final review of content to fix grammar, spelling, punctuation and formatting errors to enforce company style standards before publishing.
  • Editing entails revising written material to improve readability and style.

There are also varying levels of edit available: developmental editing and copyediting:

  • Developmental editing, also called substantive editing, is a “big-picture” review at the macro level to edit a long-form piece of content, like a manuscript for a book.
  • Copyediting, also called line editing, is a review of content at the sentence level, line by line, and word by word.

What I Offer

I do all of the above! Here are a few of my copyediting and proofreading samples.

How Editing and Proofreading Can Level-Up Your Content

There’s nothing worse than reading a book or blog with multiple mistakes. Written content with lots of grammatical errors or a poor flow can ruin your audience’s experience so much that they stop reading, never to return.

When you’ve looked at a piece of copy for days and weeks on end, it’s easy to overlook mistakes that are right in front of your face. You need fresh, experienced eyes to catch them before they reach the public.

My editing services can help you level-up your content by:

  • Catching mistakes you or your team missed
  • Suggesting different ways to phrase concepts that won’t lose your audience
  • Give you piece of mind when publishing new content

  3. If you agree to the quote, I’ll send you a proposal that includes the terms of payment, reviews, and deadline, which we can tweak as needed after you review.
