For over 25 years, I’ve been a technical and UX writer for companies like Audible, CVS Health, Comcast, and Nokia. I know how to take a system that makes perfect sense to the people who built it and translate it for the people who just want to know what button to press.

But the work I do now came from something more personal than a job history.

What I do at Ree Writes

I write educational email courses and executive thought leadership content for healthtech SaaS companies at Series A and B.

The common thread: your platform works. What’s missing is education that moves patients, caregivers and clinicians from confusion and hesitancy to act, to confidence and engagement.

Why healthtech

In 2016, I married a man with end-stage renal disease, Stage 4 cancer, and a list of specialists who never talked to each other. I became his primary caregiver:

I wasn’t a nurse or a clinician. I was someone who just had to figure it out.

The tools and information existed, but no one ever explained any of it in language a person in crisis could actually use.

I built my own systems:

  • A medication spreadsheet
  • A symptom log
  • A set of questions I brought to every appointment, because the platforms weren’t built with caregivers like me in mind.

My husband died when he was  42. That whole experience didn’t just change how I think about healthcare. It changed what I think content is for.

My AI writing policy

You might want to know where I stand on AI, so here it is.

I use AI as a research and workflow tool to transcribe interviews, summarize sources, pressure-test outlines, and catch what I missed in a final pass.

I do not use it to write your content. The thinking, the strategy, and the writing come from yours truly.

If you’d prefer I don’t use AI at all in our work together, I’ll honor that. Either way, what you’re getting is my writing experience applied to your specific problem.
